Small and Sometimes Unnoticed

I was walking up the back porch steps when these two caught my eye. I wasn't sure how long they'd stick around. Was it a "wham-bam, thank you ma'am" or real romance? All that I can say is that they were still there when I returned. They let me take a few pics before flying off.

Since I was outside and had my camera set up with extension tube, I figured I should find something else quite small to photograph.

I sat down on my glider and viewed my world. Have you ever noticed that the lavendar plant actually has quite small flowers? I hadn't really realized that before. They are quite beautiful. See?
